Troubleshooting

RadioLog won't start / black screen

This typically occurs on PCs with an Intel integrated GPU on Windows 11. GPU disabling flags are already applied by default in RadioLog. If the problem persists, update your Intel drivers from Device Manager → Display adapters.

«Critical error: Could not start RadioLog»

Check the log file at %USERPROFILE%\Documents\RadioLog\radiolog_sdr.log for the error details and send it to ea5yc@radiolog.es.

CAT won't connect — «Error opening port»

• Check the COM port number in Windows Device Manager.
• Make sure no other program is using that port.
• Disconnect and reconnect the radio's USB cable.
• Reinstall the radio drivers from the manufacturer's website.

WSJT-X can't see RadioLog's CAT relay

• Verify RadioLog is connected to the radio.
• In WSJT-X: Rig = Hamlib NET rigctl, Network server = localhost:4532.
• Check that Windows Firewall is not blocking port 4532 on localhost.

WSJT-X QSOs are not arriving in RadioLog

• In WSJT-X: File → Preferences → Reporting → ☑ Accept UDP requests → Port: 2237.
• Check that the firewall is not blocking UDP port 2237.
• Restart WSJT-X after changing the settings.

Automatic lookup isn't working

• Check your username and password in Settings → Lookups.
• QRZ.com requires a premium XML account. HamQTH works with a free account.

Manual won't load (blank screen)

• Wait a few seconds — the first WebEngine startup can be slow.
• If your antivirus is blocking QtWebEngineProcess.exe, add an exception for the RadioLog installation folder.

Licence shows «not activated» on another PC

Each serial allows activating up to 3 machines. Go to Help → Manage licence → My machines, select the machine you no longer use, and click Remove. You can then activate the new machine.
